Local family serving the dental needs of Northern Nevada!
Two UNR graduates return home to fulfill their passion of serving the community!
Reno, Nevada March 27, 2012
From humble beginnings and raised with a strong work ethic and sense of obligation, two first generation Nevadan brothers, Eric and Julio Escobar, have realized their dream of practicing dentistry in Northern Nevada. Their parents immigrated to Reno in the early 1970’s, their mother from Mexico and father from El Salvador. Through hard work and sacrifice, their parents provided the opportunity for their children to excel academically and be accepted to the University of Nevada, Reno, where they both pursued degrees in science. During their undergraduate studies, their passion for dentistry became apparent, leading them both to the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. After completing their Doctor of Dental Surgery studies, they returned back home to Reno to serve the local dental community. Through their own hard work and sacrifice, both brothers are fortunate enough to work in their own private practices, providing quality dental care to all their patients.
To add to the family dental success, while at the University of Michigan, Dr. Julio Escobar met his wife, Dr. Mary Ann Michael, who currently practices dentistry at the HAWC clinic, which serves the under privileged community in Washoe County. In addition, their mother is a long time dental technician who owns Advanced Dental Arts, and contributes to the success of their practices by being an integral part of their dental teams.
